I'm about to pull my hair out.

Someone in the weight loss thread gave me this huge table of foods and wants me to pick some out and make myself some meals. Besides the fact that I DON'T have time to cook in the mornings (so this breakfast BS is out), and I don't have access to a place to prepare food (besides a microwave) at lunch.... I can't find a lot of the healthy stuff they talk about in the weight loss thread because our grocery store has a poor selection as-is, and I won't go to wal-mart. I don't get why being fit has to be so complicated.

I know plenty of people in great shape who don't count every calorie or get obsessive over what they eat. They just don't eat a lot of junky food, and go to the gym. That's what I'm doing... shouldn't it be enough? I mean, who has time to obsess over every little calorie? I know I sure don't.... I have enough homework due in the next couple of weeks! There's gotta be more to life than this. Maybe I'm getting overly irritated but this seems ridiculous. I've had a ton of motivation to go to the gym and eat better lately, and I've been doing both-- but this stuff is really making me panic and lose motivation.

How do you find the time? I mean, I sat here for half an hour just trying to plan meals and count calories/protein/fat/carbs/etc for TODAY....

I keep track of my calories too. I have an app on my phone that I use. Each meal I input what I eat/drink and it tells me what I've consumed. I set a daily limit and it subtracts from my limit with each meal.

I *NEED* that app. What's it called?

I mean it's easy for me to keep a general idea and not go over a certain amount of calories and fat. But when you figure in carbs and protein and sugars and try to maintain this certain delicate balance-- it just seems needlessly complicated to me
