If size is an issue try a Glock Model 26 (9mm).

I've got one and it is small, light, accurate and can handle +P ammo.
What's not to love?

I pair it with a holster like this one and under an untucked t-shirt it completely disappears.

.380 is barely considered a personal defence round in my opinion.
Better than nothing, of course, but hardly a one shot stop.
Although some of the newer bullets come pretty close to 9mm performance under ideal conditions.
I would carry something in .45, or at least .40 if I could. Fasion be dammed.

IMO, people say the same thing about a .22 but you put a .22 or even a .380 into someones chest or head its going to stop them i dont care who you are or who you think you are, if you are on the receiving end of my gun your going to be stopped no matter what caliber im using and its not about fashion im just not going to spend the money to change out all my clothes to fit a larger person when im not a large person and when i could use that money shooting stuff

THX for the info, due to the cost of ammo for the .380 i was looking more towards a 9mm. do you have any xp with the Beretta Nano, or the Ruger LC9?

From my personal experience, in the heat of things, it doesn't matter what caliber it is, a gun is a gun. A perp doesn't care if it's a .22 or a .45. The first thing he sees and the only thing going though his mind is "OH SH*T HE'S GOT A GUN!" He's not going to sit there and go "Oh it's just a .22 so nothing to be worried about."

Any caliber can be a "One shot stop", it's all about shot placement. I've witnessed people be stopped with just one shot of a .22 LR and if a .22 LR can a .380 sure can.

As for the new bullets, maybe you should read up on the tests of the Critical Defense ammo made by Hornady. The .380 CD ammo has better ballistics, more penetration, and more stopping power than your typical .45 hollow point and the .22 WMR CD has better ballistics, more penetration, and more stopping power than your typical .40 hollow point. Why carry such a big gun for self defense when you can carry something much smaller and get the same or better performance?

I often wonder the differences in magazine fed shotguns vs tube fed shotguns. Any thoughts on yours or would you even know yet?

keep us updated on how you like it compared to other shotguns when you finally get the chance. The way you're building yours is pretty much the exact way I'd like one to be.

Not unless you want everyone to know your yahoo email sign in and password.

You need to use a photo sharing website like photobucket.com if you want to link pics.
