How much did you get quoted? Trans Drop on these cars?

Could also be a massive intake leak, I smelled oil and gas mix in the little pools.. heads looked clean and dry. IRS site is in the process of putting mine up to track so I'm in the same boat.

you got a different engine/tranny..... but I've heard around $400 or so.... Been talking to Brian, might look about working out some kind of deal for helping out on his TT install

I know, but I was thinking shop time since the procedure would be about 80% identical. Just different seal and whatnot. Also had the oil ready to do an oil change. Thank god I didn't change it yet.

At least I landed $880 and should easily be able to afford this. May have 'em do a trans/clutch inspection while it's out.

To what, oil change or vacation-like trip?

Gotta pay for my Practicals for my Mechanics certs at the same time. Thankfully the parents heard about the rear main possiblity and renewed their vow to cover my test in full while I cover the hotel. I just need to pick up a few replacement tools and change out the rear main.

About shit myself when I saw the oil spots. But 11+ year old seals.. it was inevitable.
