Banning question?

So when a vendor gets banned for not paying for advertisement, when do they get to return? Twice now I have been in threads having a question and answer session going and when the vendor got banned so did the whole thread or that vendors advice to all in the thread. Some of the dialogue was for the benefit of all Camaro owners and had multiple reponses from everyone with a interest including other vendors. But now the questions that were asked and answered by these vendors is gone. Leaving no benefit to anyone. Is Camaro5 here for all of us or just the money they can get from sponsored vendors? Don't go on about it being a business either. These were legit conversations that helped many. No advertising going on and no pushing of products. Apparently this isn't about sharing of information and the Camaro Family. I called one of the vendors and asked what was up and he told me that he didn't know because he recieved no warning or notification other than he is banned. WTF?

So this may not be a "business" but there are costs associated with the upkeep of this site. So if a vendor wants to promote their business, service, advice, etc...they need to pay for it.

We all enjoy this forum for FREE so unless you want to pay a membership fee, you don't have a legitimate complaint.

I'm just a member so don't blast the moderators for this.

A good example is the guy that drilled out the billiard balls and sold them at a price aimed at the average Joes budget. Everyone was happy with his product except whoever wasnt getting their cut of the profits.

Yeah, because I don't pay or I'm calling something to the carpet that needs to be addressed.

Kind of yanks your chain when you grow to rely on this forum as a resource to complete some mods and than you have somebody deleting your reference right out from underneathn you. And I've seen a lot of folks refer to the forum as a great reference including me.

The problem is if the threads are left up it is still free advertising for the banned vendor and yes, I agree with you that many have good info but if you need tech questions answered just make a new thread and ask....then you will get the same or better info w/out bending the rules.

We as vendors are not only held to paying to be supporting vendors, but we cannot interfere with other vendors and their threads so there are several ways for a vendor to be banned.

We all get both email & PM notices when our fee's are due so that is not a good excuse if you were told they had no idea. If it was for an infraction, that is a different story as rarely is the offender told the details of the infraction and has to guess if it wasnt a blatant outright violation.

As far as paying to be a sponsor, this site generates business & sales for the supporting vendors and it is only fair that we pay a fair price in return.

Again, start a thread asking any tech quaestions and there are several of us are willing to help with answers. I alone dedicate 2 plus hours a day scanning all new posts and answering questions and sharing a lifetime of knowledge for the members.

And thats what I am talking about. If SC2150 were to get banned for any reason (accidental or intentional) we lose that experience and knowledge. That would be a huge loss for all of us and most of your posts aren't about selling anything. I'm frustrated but I hope yoiu understand my point.
