I have been trying to quit for the longest time but nothing seems to work!! I have cut back some I guess that is a start.

I smoked Camel non-filters for many years; one day, I didn't buy any more, and I haven't smoked since. It's been at least fifteen years since then, and the only time I "smoke" is during a dream when I wake up feeling guilty for a coupla' seconds 'till I realize that it was only a dream.

The same goes for all meat, other than the occasional fish. You don't know how really unimportant such jive is to ya' until ya' kick it loose. I am NOT an animal protector-to-the-bone. In fact, my neighbors importune me, on occasion, to kill some of their chickens for 'em. I don't mind. It's just that I ain't interested in eating that stuff anymore.

Just doin' without will become natural for you shortly. Be patient.

Ivas, funny you should mention dreaming of smoking and waking up feeling guilty. I occasionally dreamt that I smoked for about 10 years after I quit, only I woke up , berating myself just like this angry little smiley. The subconscious is an amazing thing.

Yes, it was very important for me to stay away from other smokers.

I quit cold turkey when i did it, definatly not for everyone to do it that way ...but I had made my mind u that that I was quitting !

Hang in there everyone! Be strong. You can do it. Just think about all the cool mods you can buy with the $ you are not spending on those cigarettes! It will get better, you will feel better. You are doing great!

Almost a week without a cigarette!

It has gotten so much easier after about the 4th day. I still want them but it's really all mental at this point, my body isn't like, crying out for the nicotine like it was.
