but it goes both ways. we can't just shut down when we read something we don't like... and when we don't see eye to eye.. we just say need to say, "thanks anyway" and agree to disagree.

I know it's a total cliche but I think what some of us are referring to with the old lounge is a not only the "happy place" but a forgive and forget attitude. People would have knock down drag out's and at the end of it they'd post a smiley and they'd be right back to normal... No harm no fowl... but again... it was never mean or insulting... it was always respectful...

I like the way Brian and Mysteek go at eachother.... it's not vulgar... but pretty brutal... but they know when to quit, they know not to go to far...

That's Not everyone can tease like that... So just be respectful to others get to know them, apologize when you accidentally offend them, forgive someone who accidentally offends you and all is well.

In general we tend to expect those around us to treat us the way we want to be treated... What was so cool about the lounge is we all treated others how they wanted to be treated.... It made for a pretty cool spot.

You notice how I took long breaks from the lounge last year and how Brandon is rarely around? There are also a couple of other old regulars that don't post nearly as much as they used to. The lounge has gone to shit compared to what it once was, and I, like quite a few others are sick of the drama around here. It's completely taken the fun out of the lounge and it's caused the mods to have to do far too much policing of this thread. This has always been a family orientated site and the mods have done well to keep it clean. People think that just because this is the lounge they can come here and say whatever they want despite the rules. They assume it will not be seen and that they can get away with it and that's helping to destroy what the lounge is all about. To be perfectly honest I'm shocked the lounge hasn't been closed down permanently by now. It would've exhausted my patience by now if I were a mod and had to deal with it.

I miss when the Lounge was fast-paced, but you could still carry on a conversation. Now there's so much completely pointless BS being posted in 234149587 different conversations that you can't even get a word in edgewise without it being buried in useless crap.
