If any of you guys that weren't around for the first lounge go back and read through it you will see that we had ZERO drama back in the day. We weren't over the top, causing problems, over sensitive/butthurt and causing unnecessary drama on a weekly basis. We came into the lounge to chill, talk cars and get away from the rest of the site. I'm not saying that any one person is at fault, but it's not a coincidence that the lounge has gone downhill over the past 8 months. You notice how I took long breaks from the lounge last year and how Brandon is rarely around? There are also a couple of other old regulars that don't post nearly as much as they used to. The lounge has gone to shit compared to what it once was, and I, like quite a few others are sick of the drama around here. It's completely taken the fun out of the lounge and it's caused the mods to have to do far too much policing of this thread. This has always been a family orientated site and the mods have done well to keep it clean. People think that just because this is the lounge they can come here and say whatever they want despite the rules. They assume it will not be seen and that they can get away with it and that's helping to destroy what the lounge is all about. To be perfectly honest I'm shocked the lounge hasn't been closed down permanently by now. It would've exhausted my patience by now if I were a mod and had to deal with it.

I don't want to beat a dead horse but here's where the staff stands.

but the more important point is... this is a lounge to get away from all the drama, not to fuel more drama... This is not a place to do and say whatever you want. It's a place to socialize and support each other. recently this place has become a thread for the purpose starting shit...

We'd rather have it be the place where we stop shit from starting... Feel free to vent in here but don't stir the pot.... I know that is a small distinction but one is certainly more positive than the other. We all need to get stuff off our chests.

I think you'll find that most people here are more than willing to be supportive. when things are bad... but this is not a vent thread only... It is a social happy hangout regenerate thread. Where people are looking to have a good time... Not a place where we endlessly poke and tease.

I'll just stop there. I could go on and on and I already wrote more than I wanted....

We probably wont kill this thread.... but we will continue to... apply the rules...

Not a threat, not directed at anyone... It's just how the site is run...
