I wouldn't pay sticker for the ZL1 because I'm not a big fan of it. Saw it in person at the Fest and didn't see the attraction in it. Don't like all the Plastic on the front end, too many lights up front and I don't care for the hood insert. Not to mention the fact that it's too heavy. The dual purpose exhaust is the only thing I really like about it. I know I'm I'm the minority, but oh well.

It's definitely a nice car, but I'm not a huge fan either. It's kinda out of place. If you wanna build yourself a straight line drag racer, get an SS and supercharge/turbo it. You can build a ZL1 eater like you did for under 60 grand. The appeal of this car is how its supposed to take corners but I still have my doubts. No matter what, our 5th gens aren't small or light. The ZL1's price tag is in BMW 1 M and Lotus Exige territory, so people who want to throw a car around the track would probably be more interested in those two. I'd take a 1 M over the ZL1 quite honestly.

It looks good, it's just never really grew on me.

But the ZL1 fanboys are better than the Z/28 ones that cry Z/28 every model year and every time they see a camo'd Camaro.

I'd take the CTS-V over the Z. Very similar in power and I get all the luxuries of a Caddy. I like that it's understated too. I know it's heavy too, but I'd be buying it more for the combo of power/comfort and keep my SS to race with.
