151mph in my 2SS. Sorry its a V8 but when the dyno'd the car, the tuner took it up to 155mph 3 times on the dyno. 155mph is the max because the governor in the car kicks in. Still have stock tune

I dread seeing threads like this one..........

Please -- I'm begging you - read the article below that I sent out to the Camaro/Firebird Community last fall.........
please watch the video - the crash scene looks like an airliner went down.....

They're called 'accidents' for a reason................

I'm begging you (again) - if you're going to see how fast your Camaro will go - please take it to a closed course. (and by the way - they're all fast.......)

I post this because I care about YOU and I care about the innocent people who might be injured or worse --

************************

Ladies and Gentlemen - my Camaro Comrades and Firebird Friends....

I'm sitting at my desk choking back tears -- because we lost another one of our Camaro Comrades --- and it didn't have to happen........

http://www.wwmt.com/articles/county-...ing-crash.html

By all accounts, Marine Greg Courtney was a great guy - a great friend, son, and he was a hero who served in Afghanistan........

None of us will ever know exactly what happened or WHY it happened......but we do know that he was travelling at very high speeds - and that alcohol was involved.

Yes - we can be thankful that there weren't friends in the Camaro with him -

.....and yes, we can be thankful that no other vehicle was involved....

...... and yes, we can be thankful that he didn't strike someone's home........

...........but we lost another fine young Marine - and a Camaro Comrade......and it didn't have to happen.

As you watch the attached videos, you will plainly see that there is no way our engineers can save a person from this type of accident......and just because cars are capable of high speed doesn't mean that you need to try them out 'just to see what it'll do' ........

You've heard me say it thousands of times - and I will CONTINUE to say it -
....and I will continue to BEG you:

Please - DO NOT GET BEHIND THE WHEEL OF ANY CAR OR TRUCK AFTER YOU'VE BEEN DRINKING...........

FURTHER - I hear some of you talk about getting your cars up to triple digits on 'back roads' --

...........and I think what people don't realize is that all it takes is for one dip in the road -

..... one deer to step in front of you -

.....one child on a bicycle to dart out -

.............and a similar accident could occur......and it will never have a happy ending........

PleasePleasePlease - think about what you're about to do when the urge hits you to 'see what happens'........it may not end well.....

Someone lost a beloved son - someone lost their best friend -- the Marines lost one of their brave -- and we lost a Camaro Comrade..........

Rest in Peace -- Comrade Greg Courtney......and thank you for your service to our country - but you died way too soon and for the wrong reasons.....

That's why I say I can get a ticket in my six just as fast as an eight

I don't talk about how fast I've driven my car because I don't want to get flamed here. I've done excessive speed twice-- once, I DID post about here when I was a new member. But the second time... When I had it up to lightspeed, I will say it was on a private road (an estate drive) that was gate access only-- perfectly safe. I COMPLETELY agree with Scott. I mean, who really needs to hit the speed limiter? Nobody. But everyone *wants* to... and it's all fun and games until someone totals a car or themselves

120.19 MPH --- on a 1/4 mi track

I'm not an attorney nor am I a LEO... But, I am curious what each state's laws are regarding admitting to having committed a crime?

You guys know that search engines crawl sites like this one, right -- and, we do have a couple LEOs on this very board.
