Okay, let's end the 2011 Football season with some final predictions on the last two Bowl games that matter!!!

Kansas St vs. Arkansas
LSU vs. Alabama

Anybody can pick winners...pick the final scores also!!!

Arkansas 31.......Kansas St 17 (I want K-St to win for the Big12)
LSU 24..............Alabama 14

Are you serious? Do you realize the attendance figures and money generated by college football? It's at least as big as the NFL.

Actually that was back in '03 and LSU only had 1 loss. USC was #1 in both the AP and Coaches poll that year but somehow ended up #3 in the BCS and was left out of the BCS title game. They went on to win their bowl game and the AP left them at #1. The coaches poll had no choice to vote LSU #1 because they had agreed to vote whoever won the BCS title game as the #1 team, despite them having USC #1 going into the bowls. It was a messed up deal that led to some changes being made in the BCS formula. It also led to the AP dropping out of the BCS formula entirely.

If I was an AP voter, and Bama doesn't blow LSU out of the stadium on Monday night, I'd vote for LSU to be #1 too. Since we don't have a playoff right now I'd vote for whoever I thought had the best season. Since the AP is totally separate from the BCS they're entitled to vote in whoever they want.

My main reasoning for it is this. If Bama barely beats LSU in that game it'd make them 12-1 with a win over LSU. LSU would be 13-1 with a win over Bama AT Bama, and they also have wins over Pac12 Champ Oregon, AND Big East Champ WVU, both of which won their BCS bowl games. AND they're the SEC champs to boot. Considering all that, LSU would have by far the better season and would deserve to be #1 as far as I'm concerned.

K-ST played better than I thought they would, and I was not that impressed with the Hogs. Way to many dropped passes for K-ST (non-passing team ). Ref's were blind on the punt run back for Arkansas......block in the back, BIG TIME! Good game!!

Right with 120 more teams. And actually the NFL TV revenue dwarfs that of college football. I believe the NFL TV revenue generated is as big as NCAA Football, MLB, NBA, and NHL COMBINED if I recall. It's been a few years ago that I read that. Probably even more now.

Of course GATE will be bigger in college it's impossible to not be. And yet the NFL is still king. The Super bowl is special and worldwide. The NCG in college has become a joke. Especially since the AP voters have made it clear that the game is just another game to add and not meaningful.

I'm not talking total attendance I'm talking averages. There are NFL teams that can't sell out their games EVER. Hell the Bengals had to beg fans to come watch their last game against the Ravens. That's a division rival, playoffs on the line, and they're begging fans to come AND offering 2 for 1 concession specials. That's sad. Meanwhile you have college teams packing in 100,000+ on average every game. Hell Michigan has had more than 100,000 for every single game since 1975. NO NFL team could draw those numbers.

The AP voters are spot on if they keep LSU #1 if they lose a close game. Bama shouldn't even be in that game.

Attendance doesn't matter to me here. I'm talking total interest. I wouldn't go to a game at all. Best seat in the house is the living room. Or a nice bar.

And when you have bottom end teams like the Bengals and Bills and only 32 teams total and STILL out revenue everyone else you know you're doing it right. Why is the interest and revenue there on TV? Because the games mean more.

In college football 95% of the teams are out of the chase after 4 weeks.

And that's why the game doesn't even matter. Can't say that about the NFL games right now.

The reason why we need a playoff system.

I have heard folks say yeah but who wants to see a team that 7-5 win the NC game ? If a Wildcard team in the NFL wins the superbowl then that would be the same situation.

whoever plays the best week after week is the champ

WE NEED PLAYOFF SYSTEM

With the mentality of most college football purists the season is pretty much over half way through. We could just skip the NFL playoffs this year because Green Bay is the champs already.

All I gotta say is there better be some freakin' TDs the first quarter this time around or I'm changing the channel. ROLL TIDE!!! Anyhow, North Dakota State rolled over Sam Houston in the FCS NC GAME on Saturday, and I made $200 off that game...sold my tickets on stubhub the day after Georgia Southern lost to North Dakota State. I didn't have the heart to go watch two other teams play live and the money was a nice conselation prize...can that be considered betting against your team if you made money off them when they lose? LOL...

PREDICTION for the BCS NC Game tonight ---> Alabama 28 v. LSU 19

I didn't even know they had a FCS. (kidding)

Your prediction is very close to mine. But for you to be spot on then Bama has to have no feild goals. I can't see that.

I'm a little surprised he hadn't already. hahaha

Saints would still have a worse record AND lost to the Packers. According to 'college guy' the Packers are champs already.
