He must be a pretty big guy, I guess there will be few complaints from the tall crowd.

Curious if the alum/ti undercarriage parts will go to steel for the Camaro?

Very nice. Now let's see the ATS V. Love the interior!

I'd use a larger variant of the Alpha platform instead of re-engineering Zeta ... again.

I know I should never read comments after articles on the automotive websites, but are people seriously just bitter or in a skewed reality? How can anyone say something legitimately negative about this car?

BMW interiors don't touch this car IMO - The only Audi I can think of that does is the R8 - To be honest the amount of leather and stitching patterns on the dash remind me more of an Aston than anything currently being produced by the typical luxury makers; and, if you wouldn't agree with this previous statement at least concede that an offering like this for your ENTRY LEVEL car is impressive and then some.

BMW interiors are very blah. Same with Mercedes. Cadillac definitely has one of the coolest looking interiors for luxury cars IMO.

It says the curb weight is less than 3400 pounds. This bodes extremely well for the 6th gen Camaro!

Exactly what I was thinking; I was quite amazed that they got the weight that low. The V6 ATS won't be slow at all; should be a high 13 second car with that weight. Can't wait for the specifics on a V.

I think you're about spot-on

The V6 Camaro is already close to 13's... I'll be surprised if this car don't piss off an SS ... that's right... I said it

V6 FAST LIST
Bone Stock (No external or internal engine modifications, stock tires):
1. 14.247 @ ???? - DandD - LS A6

1/4 sec. away from 13's with a heavier car same motor..... yup

There probably isn't much, engineering wise, that would be different between a Chevelle & a next gen CTS-Coupe either ...

I just thought of something though ... a new Monte Carlo might have a better business case than a Chevelle. Take the long wheel base version of the Alpha platform to be used on the CTS, then give the car an interior volume similar to the ATS. Coupe only body style, with a very long hood. Will it be a niche vehicle? Absolutely. But so would a Chevelle. But the Monte Carlo would at least be much more differentiated from everything else in the Chevy lineup. It probably has much more recognition in the market today too. It could also lead to a Buick Rivera, which would give the brand a halo car with no obvious competition from Cadillac

i'd venture to guess that with the less luxurious interior/accommodations, even if the camaro was larger than the ATS it should still tip the scales at about 3400 lb
