I hope to find it in a local shop and pick it up, most folks tend to shy away from a 800-1200 dollar gun, but this will have to wait another 6 months until a get home.

You wont be seeing this thing sitting in a store for a couple years. I found out about it back in November and then Keltec had over 5,000 preorders just from their website. Keltec always produces new guns in small quantities for the first couple years so it will take awhile before you see it.

I wouldn't mind a Kriss. You can get them non restricted here with a longer barell. Heard mixed reviews about reliabilty.

Thanks for the direct links but I was hoping you'd be able to give me some opinion as well - especially because half of these are the same/more expensive than my rifle.

I prefer fast attach cans since since you can buy multiple adaptors and mount em on anything. I use my can on my .22 rifles as well. Screw on is OK, but kinda old tech and not in style anymore unless you have 1 dedicated rifle that is set up and zeroed with that can. Once you take it down to switch to another rifle, you may lose your zero when re threading it on later.

I like the Gemtech suppressors that use bi-locks. Very easy to mount. Excellent decibel reduction.

The AAC M4-2000 is very nice. The fast attach adaptor is a screw on with cam lock. A bit big and bulky. Excellent decibel reduction.

The YHM are ok, they mount to a modified phantom flashhider. I find there decibel reduction to be good, but they are kinda heavy.

The surefire is the top dog, its fast attach mount is kinda ugly but functional. Their can's are inconel hence the price, but they are light. Don't bother with their shorties, they are basically glorified flash hiders. Their regulars have excellent suppression and are the easiest to adjust for shift since they come with a timing template.

With the others, if your shift is unacceptable to you, you can use peel washers to adjust the mounting point. Shoot me an email with your direct questions and I can help you out offline a bit better.

I have 3 room mates and 3 of the 4 are bartenders so we work all hours of the night. On new years eve we were all at work and got home at 5am and someone used a pry bar to try and break into our house. They were unsuccessful thank god but now I want some protection. I have never shot a gun. Just paintball guns and a bow. I have a friend who is a firearms instructor who is going to make sure we know how to use a gun. What is the recommended gun for a female these days? I dont want some crazy ass gun. And nothing over $500.

I would talk to your friend.
Just noticed you live in P-cola.
You should find a nice gun for under $500.

This is what my wife carries.
