That's my take on it, if their is such a problem why didn't GM put them on in the beginning.Some of the pictures don't look good if all that oil is sucked into the intake.

Exactly my point. That's what a lot of ppl have said, "If it's such a problem or was that harmful GM would have put them on from the beginning." Plus, they say what little they actually catch isn't worth it either. I have heard that a lot and other ppl that of course are for it and wanting to protect their intakes as much as possible.

What's your opinion is it worth it and do you think it really would help the performance of the engine over the long run.

I had mine emptied back in October and it had been on for 3,500 miles. It had enough in it that I was happy the oil was in there and not the intake.

Well worth the small amount of money the catch cans are being sold for.

I also have FI and they say that you definitely should invest in one if you're blown.

Good point as well. It's just so controversial I just let it go. Too many conflicting points I guess!! I mean, anything that will help the car is worth it I'm sure, but I barely put over 4k on mine today!

I'm about to hit 33k and I drive mine hard so I decided it was worth it. After seeing how much was in it I was glad I did. I honestly wasn't expecting to see as much in such a short period of time.

Yeah, but then again you did say you drive your car hard. I don't. I just drive it to and from work, to and from my son's daycare, and to and from the grocery store. Other than that Sunday drives is about all mine sees. I guess I could do it, but being that we drive so differently would it be worth it??

So if you find that much oil into the can .how often do u have to top up your oil.What about the GM warranty ,would this installation void my warranty.
