I just couldn't bear a diet of hard boiled eggs, peanut butter, wheat bread and fish so I try to work out twice as hard and not worry TOO much about what I eat (I still mind it but I enjoy food and love to cook so I try to cook for myself a lot). IDK, maybe that's just me?

I couldn't stand that either. The best diets include a large variety of foods, the best thing is whole foods the way nature produces them buth the foods you mentioned are a few good choices. I consider myself to be a very healthy eater(most of the time) and I eat everything , in moderation of course lol

well stopping the sodas and the beer would be a great step in the right direction. beer is my weakness, never have like sodas so i dont worry about those. but if you could cut back on those you will be surprised by the changes that would make. i have cut out alcohol for now so i can cut weight.

280 lbs and you feel like a fat person, I'm not sure why. Perhaps you should join in and maybe we can help you shed that 80. As mentioned above cutting out the beer and soda would make a big difference they are both killers in excess.

I just read somewhere:
If you want to lose weight "You can eat or you can drink but you can't do both."
Thanks for all the advise and info CDF.

I am also 6'2', at one point I'm embaressed to say I was 240lbs and felt the same way as you, In MY mind I thought I just had a little bit of a belly. Now I stay in the 175 - 185 range depending on if I'm cutting or not and my mind is clearer. Join in, I know from experience you will feel so much better you.

I had a good day yesterday with my eating & went to dance class. I could tell from how winded I got that I have missed too much class. I resolved to do better. Then today............I was bad. :( That is all.

I'll tell you something, WE ALL HAVE DAYS LIKE THAT. The thing is it's behind you now and you can't change it, so what do you do now? Forget about it, the stress over it will do more harm than the slip-up, continue on and in the long run when you look back on your journey it will have been a small bump in the road. Just try not to hit to many bumps lol
