I thought about bottle-feeding her with a 100-shot but I just can't make myself pull the trigger on it.

I get tunnel vision and great reaction times which helps-- but It all comes down to torque, which is what I'm trying to improve upon with mine
I know you, Jaren, PMC, and the other LLT gang arent. The LT1 kinda hits a roof when it comes to pushing it higher in RPMS. The LS block tends to kinda linger before really putting down torque when you get past around 3000 RPM.

But the whole beat on thing; you betcher ass that's the truth. I've driven mine, and another LS car before i decided on mine. At the time wasn't sure if I wanted a stick or auto but the auto had 83K and felt like a dog compared to my car. Wasn't just the shifting (because I was a total noob at stick at the time), but it was the crisp snap that the motor still had even after sitting much of it's life.

She's really come into her own now with 45K on the clock. But at the same time there's a downside to that age thing: 5th gens are gonna break less because of newer tech and because they aren't 11 years old. Hit the limit on many parts in the car as far as part lifetime. She's gonna be stripped down and rebuilt by the time she gets to 70K. Then live a full life a a cleaned up cruiser and show car.

Probably pick up a 6th gen Turbo 4 if it pulls hard enough for daily fun. Pull the manis and do a TT and asplode the block if possible. XD
