I'm not gonna quit smoking anytime soon, about to light one up now. Also I took the wrong bus but still made it to class on time.

I never got off the bus, just took the whole trip around campus. Like a boss.

I didn't make it my resolution, but decided to quit when I woke up hacking yesterday morning. After I finished the four that were left in my pack I threw my lighter away and said good riddance. It's been 22 hours since I've had one now.

Your math was off by a little. You forgot to figure in when you drink you smoke more.

Probably closer to 5-6 a week if you party a couple nights every week.

Quitting smoking is one of the hardest things I've ever done! I still miss them (almost on a daily basis) and it's been over 9 yrs. since my last smoke.

My Gramma said that for years after she quit she still thought about them, and knew if she ever picked another one up she'd never be able to quit again.

Yeah I've quit before, and picking just ONE back up was enough to make me start again. I'm finishing this carton and then I'm gonna be done. Just thinking of $1300+ a year extra is good motivation. Hell, that pays for a decent vacation.

What makes it hard is that my parents both smoke and I'm at their house 2-3 nights a week...

I know exactly what she means! It has been so tempting, many times, to grab "just one". However, I know that "just one" would turn into "just one more" a thousand times.

Nicole smokes and probably won't try to quit. :( I asked her to at least cut back on smoking in the evenings when I'm home.

THIS!!! My hubby has been dealing with it. He says just one and gets a pack then 5 cigarettes later.......yeah!!! He is back on the patch now after being past that phase for 3 months.

My sister suggested that I get an electronic cig to "reduce cravings". Um, no thanks. That would just make me want a real smoke even more. I'll just continue to daydream about smoking & not act on impulse.
