checked it out, it's Elgin, but she did live in Bastrop some time ago , she was nurse in a prison around there.

Elgin and Bastrop are pretty close, yeah they had really bad fires there in the summer. My sister was actually headed back to Austin when they started and they closed all roads 10 minutes after she passed other wise she would have been stuck at our house for weeks. Had a bad fire like that in our area at the same time too.

Yes she was telling us animals were coming out of the forest unto the roads because of the heat and to get water,she said the ground had dried out so bad the foundation in her home had cracked from the ground moving because it was so dry'

Yeah sad business. I felt bad for the animals, cause it was pretty wide spread.

And there is alot of that foundation cracking going around.
