Sorry but MOST people would disagree and beg to differ with this statement. Currently there is NO Mustang looks wise that is on par with the new Camaro. Sorry when you have a pic of a ZL1 and a GT500 side by side the ZL1 looks better and is waayyyy more agressive looking hands down. The ZL1 grill looks like the car is growling and mean the GT500 grill and front end looks goofy like the car is smiling and the headlights make it look cross eyed. Yeah the Mustang might be faster currently due to weighing lighter looks wise it isnt even in the ball park. I mean it got out sold 10 out of 11 months this year so far that should tell you something.

Sorry I created the thread. Instead of discussing the upgrades SVT has made to the GT500 in the area of getting it's power to the ground, it quickly degenerated in into yet another tired discussion of aesthetic appeal and/or preference. Thanks for mucking up the thread everyone.

So this simply sounds like the electronic limiters are required to keep the 2013 GT500 under control. Could simply indicate that the tires are the limiting factor as one might suspect. And yes, it takes torque management to keep the tires from spinning which would indicate Ford has to pull the reins in to keep maximum traction.

I think the 2012 GT500 only has 285 width tires. Easy to burn them to the rim with out torque management. Anyone see if Ford announced wider rubber or the 2013?

Not lost on any of us IMNHO.

But coming on this forum and stating:

I agree. Just as the ZL1 uses it's traction management to do the same thing. It will be interesting to see which system works better for the average ZL1/GT500 driver. In reading the article, it sounds like the Ford system allows more user adjustability that the "select your condition" setup on the Camaro.

It's not your fault, this is a Car forum. It's the Camaro or nothing on here and yes I'm aware being bias is essentially one of the rules on this site (#15 I believe). I used to love the debate on this site but it seems that every other day there is:

1. V6 Camaro owner making posts whining about being oppressed, and trying to justify their purchase and SS owners.
2. People whining about the fact that the GT500 is ugly (which is a subjective opinion)
3. Someone bitching about something else that is irrelevant, Steering Wheel for example.

The thing 3 things I hate that are the 3 things I love because it's just so funny to see. There used to be good debate but Camaro5 has turned into a place where people, which I will remind you the Mustang owners said with the 2010, "So what if the <insert your pony car here> is faster than <competition pony car here>, <insert your pony car here> still looks better....

And yes Mustang/Challenger forums are the exact same way, mostly bias very little basis for fact..

My rant for the day...

Looks are subjective. You can have 9 million people tell you how ugly your car is, but if you like it and are the only one that likes it, that's all that will matter. So I don't know why this keeps being brought up. It's pointless.

Oh, and no, they aren't slow, it's that some people like seeing what the competition is doing. They like reading up on it. Last time I checked, there was no harm in doing so. No reason to treat others differently if their opinions differ.

Seeing what the competition is doing is one thing, trolling and inciting arguments is another...

I am amazed by the number of people that will get butt hurt over a subjective opinion like the looks of one vehicle over another... Jeeezze..

People, get over it, discuss the actual merits of one vehicle or another, Objectively, with something that is verifiable.... We allow debates, even heated discussion but when it spirals down the toilet into name calling or childish behavior, we will step in... Dont like it... oh well...

We are sorry if your feelers get hurt from us editing or deleting post... be it for language, trolling, stupidity or any of a thousand other reasons... but one of the reasons so many people are here is for the overall quality of the site... If we let every member that desired to do so say anything they want, what a crap hole this site would be...

Take a scroll up to the top of the page, on the left hand side and note.... this is Camaro5... not Mustangs are forever, or Ford Rules, or My Bad Dodge... Our tendancy is to side with Camaro owners... but even they are subject to the rules of the site...

I personally welcome Ford and Chrysler product owner/operators for their knowledge and contribution... But trolling isn't welcome...

The gt500 owner said, "Better than a gt500? I don't think so" and was called an asshat . That post has been changed now so it all looks very out of context, but if you had been there at first you would have seen it. You can't expect him not to respond unfavorably after being called an asshat for saying he doesn't think so. If he didn't own a gt500 and said he thought the gt500 looked better, like dabears did immediately after his post, and in turn was called an asshat, how do you think he would have responded? So much touchiness. I understand there is trolling and that trolling will come from non-owners, but black gt was not trolling in the LEAST until he was insulted for a very simple statement of, "I don't think so"
