Yes it did! People that have never been just do not realize what that was like! Absolutely bumper to bumper traffic throughout the entire loop. People parked along the side of the road and at the car wash!! My mom and dad used to tell me stories of them doing that in the 60's! I still can't belive they stopped it......

We usually made a few passes and then stopped at the car wash. The last time we were there the cops ran us off the car wash parking lot 15 minutes after we parked. After the way they were that night we never went back.

How old are you? In your mid to late 30s too?

Sweet!! Yes it is. I lived in Rural Hall for a couple years, Walkertown for about 6 months (hated it there) and Winston for 8 years or so. I went to North Forsyth my freshman and Sophomore year and Northwest middle.

I went to Forbush and my wife went to Starmount. Ever heard of them? I bought my SS from Modern Chevy in Rural Hall/Winston-Salem

I worked on a few other things today.... I did precut some metal for some though..... plan on building some tomorrow.... a kid I went to school with is back in town, I think he's going to come over tomorrow and help out..... might try to get some pics of building them

Yes I've heard of both. I know where you're talking about!!

I lived off of Germanton Rd. in Rural Hall.

I miss the BBQ from NC. They don't have shit here as good as the BBQ in NC & SC.

35 here. Man I couldn't tell you. That was 16-17 years ago.


Do you know where the Nature Science Center is? I think it's called Sci Works now. It's in Winston right off 52 or University. I had to do community service there when I was 19.
