I'm just shocked there is so much hate on the mustangs on here. I also use mustang forums and there is no talk bashing a camaro for no reason. Sure the 4.6 stangs are under powered at 300hp. But thats why people gear them.

Number 1: It's a Camaro forum.

Number 2: Bashing the V6 is going to get you run off this site very quickly.

I love the mustang.....regardless of what people say about the new 5.0s I would buy one if I could.....i was just pointing out the v6 comments; everyone starts getting defensive when you bring up SIZE!

Well I don't see the new v6 camaro as a true performance car. The SS yes but no not v6 camaro. It's a cruiser to me nothing more... So why get mad

Your v6 smokes 05+ GT's sorry I find that hard to believe. My sisters boyfriend has a stock 2001 GT and smokes his friends 2010 v6 all day. Torque = ET Not horsepower. And this is a 2001 265Hp 01. More torque then the new v6 and much lighter = win win

Your 305hp v6 that weighs almost 500pounds more with less TQ will kill a 05+ GT?

uhm.. you're aware you are on a camaro site right?

and the v6 camaro is an engineering marvel.. 312hp out of a v6.. that 05-08 mustang with a full liter over the v6 puts down the same amount of power.

kinda sad don't you think?

And no, there is respect to owning a new camaro regardless.. There is a user on here.. poormanscamaro that has a v6 llt camaro pushing roughly 400 wheel horsepower.

As for the respect.. you'd get respect either way.. a 5th gen is a BEAUTIFUL car..

However, if you're going to go Ford.. i'd recommend NOT to post it here and bash on the v6.. not wise.. gonna get flamed.

Hell, you could buy a WS6 Trans-Am.. That'd be better.

I don't say much on here.. but i think this is something that set me off, hopefully the mods will let me go this time.

Why do people go by horsepower? Mustang = more TQ And lighter which = faster. tq = ET. Not 305 horse power on a car that weighs alot. I never see them cars brake outta the 15s....

i'm sure there are plenty of members with timeslips on here to prove this...

suspension, traction and a WHOLE lot more plays into this..

I've been building/racing since i was 13.. Hell i've even built a fox body with a 351w...

More torque and lighter doesn't necessarily mean much... so many other factors.

i put 480 down to the ground.. doesn't mean i can beat a stock ss if i can't get traction..

It don't matter. You guys should learn to be mature when it comes to talking about other american performance cars.
