Well, technically, it's a Concealed Hangun License. But, many states use different terminologies. It really depends on what state you're in. Below is a list of varying license or permit names:

CHL/CHP - Concealed Handgun License/Permit
CDWL/CWP/CWL - Concealed (Defensive/Deadly) Weapon Permit/License
CCP/CCL - Concealed Carry Permit/License
LTC/LTCF - License To Carry (Firearms)
CCDW - Carry of Concealed Deadly Weapon license
CPL - Concealed Pistol License
Etc.

Edit: Here's an interesting graphic I saw on wikipedia showing the varying right-to-carry laws across the United States:

Unrestricted - means no permit is needed to carry a concealed handgun
Shall-Issue - means a permit is required to carry concealed, and the permit shall be issued if a person meets the requirements set forth in the state laws
May-Issue - means a permit is required to carry concealed, and the local authorities have the the discretion of issuing the permit even if the person meets all requirements set forth in the state laws
No-Issue - no private citizen may carry a concealed handgun.

Are you a NC resident? Because just short of being a felon, NC is pretty much restrictionless. I still have a valid CCP from NC that I'm using until I get my new FL on in the coming months.

Or are you in one of those RDU counties?

wow, I knew Alaska and Vermont didn't require a permit.... didn't know they added AZ and WY too..... Would have been nice here to skip all those classes and fees

How can they have a No-Issue state? Did certain states forget about the second amendment?

CCW itself is a violation of the 2nd amendment, control which is restricted from the federal government by that very amendment.

States are not prohibited from restricting rights because of the 10th amendment which is a direct violation of the constitution. What a catch 22 huh.

It was all in the courts interpretation which is definitely different from what the founding fathers envisioned.

Anyhow, more pics of guns!
