What are the bars for under a person's screename

I always notice them but have no clue what they are for. I think my name use to have 3 gray ones but I don't any longer. Other peeps have a different color as well.

I thought it was like a ranking bar like a videogame. The more posts you make, the higher the bar gets and you get a different title. I've only seen it a couple of times when on the computer. I'm usually on Tapatalk (like now) and it doesn't show that stuff.

notice that the people who have it have no writing under there name, maybe if you delete that it would show up?
