I do believe that Alabama is one of the top 2 teams in the country, that OSU's loss is worse than Alabama's, and that Alabama will win New Orleans.

The BCS is totallly screwed up when 13 and 15 ranked teams play when 6 and 7 ranked teams are left out......because no conference can have more than 2 teams in the BCS games.

Boise St's coach cried and whined on TV yesterday about the BCS....Problem is WHO IS BOISE ST......they are a nobody, if Chris Peterson is soo good then he should get one of teh open coaching jobs...problem is he doesn't want one. Boise St would not be an 11-1 team in either the PAC 12, Big 12, SEC, Big 10, Maybe the ACC.......So either move to a bigger conference or shut up Boise St.

Unfortunately it is what it is and the winner on Jan 9 will be the National Champions......In 2003 LSU had 2 losses and won the title...

Some years, as in 2004 Auburn, a team has a right to complain. OSU's complaint is that people would like to see the BIg 12 offense against the SEC defense, problem is we have seen that before with Florida-OU, Alabama-Texas and for whatever reasons the SEC teams won that game.....The only game this year was Tex A&M vs Arkansas and Arkansas won ( after an A&M collapse) but Arkansas defense is nowhere near Alabama or LSU.

Alabama claims 13 National Championships because someone voted them as National Champions.....remember the system years ago....and is why the BCS was made. This year is an exception because if USC wasn't on probabtion they would be playing LSU and the point would be moot.

5 weeks ago there was turmoil over the BCS when so many teams were undefeated and now look at what we have...Turmoil because of so many one loss teams....But like I said earlier you can not blame the school because the schools involved had nothing to do with it they just have to live with the results.......

Everyone says that they should be a conference champion.....OK Lets say if teh Big 12 and SEC were down and say the BIG EAST was up even this year it went by BCS ranking and WV made it being ranked what 23rd........They either need to make some provisions like the top 8 make a BCS bowl regardless but then the conference aligence would be shot.

Best case scenario is top 4 play , 1 vs 4 and 2 vs 3 then the winners play one week later. The BCS could still have their bowls for the schools how didn't make it. They could also rotate the site of the Championship game like they do for the Superbowl and the Championship site would be determined years in advance.
I think your on to something there...considering the Div. 1AA / FCS has been doing it over thirty years and once again its that bad one word answer called 'PLAYOFFS'! All the BCS/FBS has to do is a bowl series is a bowl playoff mode...takes nothing from the money and straightens out the statistical nightmare they call the BCS rankings!

I'm sorry in the grand scheme of things no one won that game in the last match up when there was not even a single TD scored in the game. Alabama beat themselves more than LSU ever could in the match up. Only a shut out in the BCS NC game will prove otherwise.

But hey, if the final score has more than just field goals in it, I suppose that will appease some people.

Yes, defense wins championships. And yes, offense will often put seats in the stands. But what really sells tickets AND television viewership is great matchups. Seeing two teams play who match up very well on both sides of the ball is infinitely more entertaining than watching two amazing defenses play two mediocre offenses.
Are we really just hatin' cuz of the rematch or is it because like me your are as hell there are really no other good Bowl matchups out there...all of it seems pretty stale to me. Another reason I love watching the FCS playoffs!

Says who? What was the team that LSU played from the lower division...and then look at who Alabama played from the lower division. So all and all they pretty much played the same in the FBS...There will be no co-champion.

Alabama beat LSU in every catagory except the one that counts.......SCORE.

Part of the reason I like college football so much is tradition......Traditions like the RRR, A&M/TX, The Backyard Brawl, Civil War, Iron Bowl plus some of the other pre-game things that go on.

I have heard Saban speak and what struck me most about anything he said was after his first year here when he went 7-6.........People were talking about QB play kind of questioning his decisions, the way he dealt with the media, the way his press conferences went etc..........This was at a booster banquet when he spoke...the people who kind of pay his salary.....You have to remember before he got here what Alabama was going through.....really a medicore football program.

Saban said and I quote......" I put the best players on the field, it does not matter if they are Freshman, Soph, Jr's or Sr's. You pay me to win football games. PERIOD and you pay me a lot of money to do that, if I do not succeed then I will not be here. It is kinda like buying a car.....if it performs you love it and if it doesn't you get rid of it.......I know I am loved CONDITIONALLY and I know what those conditions are. My job is to win Championships and restore a once proud football tradition....anything else is just clutter"

What struck me by this statement was first it was true....if he doesn't win he will be gone, secondly people could care less how he does a press conference as long as the Tide rolls on Saturdays.

The next fall he went 12-0 in the regular season, in 2009 he won the BCSNCCG and is poised to have his team there again.

Today people are result driven...same with our cars...WE WANT RESULTS.....His players graduate, he wins football games and no scandals have come our way since he has been there ( Cross our fingers).

My point about Saban is this......He wins and people in Alabama love it.

Alabama has a tradition that any coach who wins a National Championship gets a statue at the Walk of Champions...Saban is no different than Coah Stallings in the fact that they have both won 1 National Championship at Alabama and each have a statue....

Being one who gre up watching Bear Bryant...none will ever surpass him no matter how much he wins...Bear is ......Well the Bear.........

I do not believe Bear Bryant could coach in todays football but he is still loved by many in this state like I am sure other teams have like Darryl K, Johnny Majors, General Neeland, R.C Slocum, Barry Switzer and the list goes on.........

Dude, that dose not fly here!!! The score at the end of the game shows who wins! You sound like me, "if Colt was in that NC game, the Horn's would have"! Would of, should of, could of, don't put points on the board.

I wasn't insunuating that they have no great tradition and history but I've put all of the powerhouse programs historical data, records, wins, losses, awards etc..... up side by side and they all pretty much can make a similar claim.

Nobody here has done any hatin' at all. Where are you getting that from. LSU and BAMA are the 2 best teams. Nobody has disputed that. Boring as hell game in a boring as hell bowl season. But definitely the 2 best playing for the BCSCG.

This bowl season definitely will be the one where I get the most stuff done around the house.

But I won't watch the FCS any more than I'll watch minor league baseball. lol

RG3 is a local kid that went to the same HS as my son (Copperas Cove High School) and his parents are both retired Army. He's really a humble kid, just very confident in himself. Nicest kid you would ever talk to.

As a matter of fact, RG3 was recruited to go to UH when Art Briles was there, but followed Coach Briles when he took over at Baylor. He was the 42nd ranked player in the state of Texas in 2008 and Houston was the only State School that pursued him....go figure.

Now do the opposite. Put RG3 on Bama, LSU or Standford and what?
PQ, RG3 was actually recruited by Stanford, along with Oregon, Nebraska, Tennessee, Washington St., Illinois, Kansas, and Tulsa.

Imagine what RG3 could have done at Stanford, Oregon or Nebraska.

No doubt.

As good as the rest of the feild is, espec. Richardson I still say RG3 is the best. Swap Griffin out with Richardson and Baylor loses the regular amount of games.

In fact, take Griffin off of Baylor and take Richardson off of Bama and Baylor is not even in a bowl game and Bama is still in the NCG.

Griffin hands down.

LOL....We just grow running backs over here........especially ones who can bench 475 and squat 600.......Of course I am biased in my opinion but that is to be expected.

OU used to be running back U........

Griffen is a great kid, well spoken, probably a better speaker than any candidate...has had awesome numbers and would represent the Heisman very well....Honey Badger should not be there since he popped positive on a drug test....The Heisman should mean more than that.

I would still like to see Trent win it though........just don't think he will. It is RGIII's this year.

Richardson is kind of getting penalized by me for being on a team that would have been fine without him. Not his fault at all.
