Lol who cares, not like we are in the VOLT demographic.

Give me my fossil fuels. Or some bloody Hydrogen powered cars, because how dare we use the second most abundant resource we have. Once the companies stop patent hoarding and being little bitches about the lack of infrastructure which they have the OBLIGATION to build. Till then I wont pay attention to this garbage.

Hydrogen still has huge problems that prevent it from being viable right now.

I want to build a VOLT Drag Car. We have kicked the idea around with GM. Strip it including the gas generator. Beef up the drive line, reprogram the 'black box' Instant 100% torque at 1 RPM. The biggest issue is keeping the tranny and shafts in the car when TQ controls are bypassed. I want to build a 9 Second VOLT.

Not unless you're as stupid as NHTSA is.

Did you know it take 14 hours to refuel a CNG car using a $7,000 pump in your garage? And those CNG tanks are in hundreds of PSI.

Hydrogen? Hydrogen costs far more than even bio fuels. You know the big deal everyone is making that it take more energy to make ethanol than what you can get out of it? That is nothing compared to how much it takes to get Hydrogen. Yes, you can do what BMW does and run hydrogen through an ICE, but the range is pathetic. And fuel cells? Those vehicles cost about $200,000 right now in the closest to commercial state. And those tanks? Thousands of PSI.

And your point is? I dont have a gas tank and pump assm at my house so why would I get a cng setup for my house? CNG is the best alternative we have right now and in the future. Its readily avail right here in the US, costs less than gasoline, and is very clean burning. Oh I guess you were referring to the part where you charge your vehicle at home on a home charger only because it takes so long to charge an electric vehicle. Well you wouldnt have to worry about that either with a CNG vehicle. You telling me a 40 mile range isnt pathetic? I guess you think electricity just comes out of the ground and isnt made? What about the nuclear powerplants and the coal it takes to turn the turbines that produce electricity? What about disposing and manufacturing the batteries? What about the costs to replace the electric motors and the huge batteries these vehicles use? All the sudden a couple hundred psi CNG tank in my car doesnt sound like too big a deal to me. CNG powered vehicles arent anything new, they are being used by the public as we speak and dont cost rediculous amounts like electric powered vehicles do.

Infrastructure isn't there to support CNG or Hydrogen as viable fuel sources.
