new owner, new to site, and a lil venting!

Hi guys,
My name is Ron and I`m new here.
First of all I`d like to say that this is a great site! and that I love it almost as much as I love my 2011 1LT RS Camaro! I never thought that I could thoroughly enjoy a vehicle as much as I do with this car. I just can`t stop looking at her and taking her for drives in the country and caressing her curves with a microfiber towel and wax! I LOVE THIS CAR!
I bought this car new and got a heck of a deal to boot! a week later I picked it up at the dealer and with a fresh snow fall the night before I carefully brought her home the nearly 400kms. I got home and with her and cleaner her off a bit and took some pics and admired the curves and black paint and white stripes which I`ll show you guys at the end here. After being called in for supper for I`m sure the 10th time I finally went in, soon as I was done supper i went back out only to find a cat sitting on the hood of my car I held my temper and calmly walked over to the cat and swiftly...no no....STIFFLY whacked the cat with my hand and sent it flying I figured it`s gonna have to learn or die! I didn`t have to look to hard to find light scuffs from where the cat jumped up on the hood and slid a little. I did some reading and searching on the net for scratch removal and decided to pick up some megs scratch x which with a lil work took the scuffs out beautifully Right then and there I decided I would have to clean out the shop some to get our cars in for winter anyways so i might as well do it now.
Fast forward a month, still absolutely loving this car! I came home late one night and carefully parked the car in the shop closed the sliding door and latched it so the wind couldn`t blow it open ( was really that night ) the next day i walked into the shop and heard a little "clink" in the back corner of the shop and thought well that was kinda weird untill i seen the tell tale tracks going up the hood of my car, up the windshield, down the back then back to the front where the mangy freakin thing slept till it decided to slide down the side of my drivers door while still hanging onto the door handle I looked to the back of the shop and caught a glimps of the culprit! I left the shop, went to the house and grabbed the high powered pellet gun, and my daughter and headed back to the shop careful not to let it out when we went in. We turned that shop inside out till we found it hiding behind some boxes and stuff.
Amber sure was happy that it was the stray Tom that had been tormenting her young cats around our acerage and had no problem helping me get rid of the mangy thing!
I went back to the car and seen that it had scuffed the !@#$%^&* out of the hood while trying to get traction on the 2 day old wax job!:( so I broke out the Megs and the machine this time and buffed out 3 seperate locations this time from that damn cat and got most of the scuffs and scratches out except for one deeper one just above the sexy drivers side headlight.
sorry to you cat lovers out there, but I know the real car guys are giving me "the slow clap" (as we call it here) right now.

Ron, CONGRATS, and Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, wive's, husbands and boyfriends here don't care....and take it easy.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.

Welcome!!

Welcome...and you are NOT the first Camaro owner with a cat issue...but you may be the first to effectively remedy the situation.

Ron,
CONGRATS!!! on your purchase
I think of the 5th gens as an addiction
once you drive one you can't stop!!!

From your pictures, looks like you still have the pzeros on it.
You should invest in rims and snow tires if you plan on driving all year long. You will get much better handling in the winter with snow tires.
The PZeros are summer tires only.
If you want a comparable price look at tirerack.com (in the USA) before you buy tires here in Canada.

oh yes the p zeros do suck in the snow alright! I`ve got winter tires on the back already, just saving up for the fronts. They sure made a heck of a difference already. I can actually get out of the parking lot at work without taking a few runs at it...lol
