I'm home from work and about to jump on the Xbox and waste the day snuffing dragons and clearing out my HUGE assortment of misc. quests. Somewhere in there I'll hit 100 sneak, the hard way, no grinding so far.
Who knows, I might even go get married. I could always use free money.

I really love this game. I wish the hole in the disk was bigger.

I'm just sayin'

This game is INCREDIBLE on a a good PC. You're missing out on an even better experience by playing it on a console.

At 2560x1600 resolution, mmmmmmmmmmmmm........

I used to play PC games exclusively but I got tired of upgrading graphics cards every year (often for hundreds of dollars) so I could play the latest and greatest. I have a huge monitor so it is still tempting...

But for now I just sit on my huge comfy leather couch with my feet propped up while staring at a 60 inch screen ...and I have 7.1 surround sound with enough wattage to rattle my neighbors dishes. It doesn't suck.

You may have already done this, but make sure your video drivers are fully updated. I use nVidia 295s, and the drivers are quite stable. Only issue I've had is after I've alt-tabbed out of the game a bunch...sometimes it will crash if I've left it a day like that.

I'm running a pretty slick system, so it does make a difference. 30" monitor helps too.

Geez that DOES look like a nice setup. Of course I can't tell what processor you've got or how much ram (other than counting sticks) ... blah blah.. but I'm guessing that you wouldn't spend money on bling before buying POWAH!
Right?

If I had that setup I just might play on the PC. Modding could be fun.

I could build up a beast PC in an afternoon but that would take effort and I'm just too lazy. Besides that time could be spent on that couch I mentioned earlier.

One thing to try is lowering your resolution and detail settings and giving it a try. If that fixes it then you either need driver updates or your video card is too weak for how hard you are pushing it. An upgrade may be in your future.
I've seen sound drivers cause issues in newer games as well (not often but it does happen). You might as well check for driver updates there too.

Last, I'd be sure to close any running programs other than the game while trying to find the problem. It is possible that they could be hogging system RAM or video memory for no good reason.

I hope I'm not preaching to the choir here. If so, I apologize.
