We give each other heads up when stuff is going to happen. Our boss said it is annoying. She covers my phone when I am not at my desk, so I have to let her know when I am stepping away. I now have to call her.

And at my work it's recommended to use lync instead of the phone. What an ass backwards company you work for

No I do not. That is what I have currently have but they are taking it away. I will have to purchase my own. I really don't have the money for that, but it might be worth it. BTW, I don't have heat or air in my office area and it is near a window. There were some mornings last year when I would arrive and it would be in the 40s.

When I got hired they told me not to call anyone because it ties up the phone lines. I work in a Call Center so they don't want us to walk up to someone.
