Looks like traction control was off. That probably would have stopped that from happening.

That dip in the road gave lift on the rear tires for a split second causing loss of traction and he most likely lifted and corrected and the lifting caused the car to straighten out some making his correction to great and then the tank slapper began and he ate the other vette.

only 1 car crashed, the other got crashed into. The knucklehead that lost control likely had cold stock tires with low thread left, traction control turned off, heavy right foot, big gonads, small brain.

After examination I think this is what happened to right car:

1) for some reason started drifting to the left, possibly from inattentiveness due to gear shifting or because of fishtailing - but unlikely since I can't see evidence of wheel spin

2) driver realized he was too close and over-compensated by steering to the right. This supports the inattentiveness argument.

3) driver realized that he was heading straight for the turn-off curb and so quickly turned left to avoid hitting the curb perpendicularly

4) driver had to make a very sharp left turn because there was only a short distance before hitting the curb, and that caused him to crash into the other vette.

My assessment:
1) driver is inexperienced in high-speed driving - probably lacks track experience.
2) it clearly shows the dangers of street racing due to the unfavorable road conditions

The reason I am posting this is because here's another video of a corvette crashing whilst accelerating:

And there's this video:

and I'm wondering what's causing all these Vettes to spin out of control. I just want to avoid this happening to me, that's all.

What about a third turkey? The driver recording the event. Recording while his car is in motion, going through an intersection. If he had a go pro mounted it may not be as bad. But, you can tell it's a hand held device, most likely a phone, doing the recording.
