Car buyers beware ( Ally Bank ) scammers !!!

Ok I'm just going to be short with this Ally Bank formally known as Gmac are the biggest scam artist out there . I have had many major issues with this bank but the latest one tops them all . Ok so in October I paid off a lease I had which is do back in January and a letter was sent to me saying I did so . Now I get a bill in the mail for $384 so I contact Ally and they have the nerve to actually argue with me on the phone about this money In spite of the letter that they sent me .

yeah, another reason I store copies of all my account statements and related letters for a year... Sorry to hear about that... You wouldn't believe some of the crap I had to go through when I built my house.... contractors, the title company, city inspectors, lawyers all asking me for documentation at one point or another. If I hadn't kept EVERYTHING, I'd still be in the hole...

A year is not even long enough when it come to documents like this.

I scan all my documents, I'll have them for as long as I live. This way if something ever comes up, I just go to my trusty PDF folder!!

A decent scanner cost close to nothing and Gigabytes even less!

$600 was the payment for that car . The car isn't due back till January so no damage recorded yet . Letter states I met all Lease responsibilities .

Well there are some that are longer, such as mortgage documentation, tax documentation, etc, but you're right. I'm too lazy to scan it all though!

Oh yeah and every time I call Ally I get someone on the phone in the Philipines . Never had that problem when it was GMAC ... Isn't it awesome you buy an American made car but have to deal with people in other countries when there is a problem with it !

I have 2 cars with loans through them... I like them alot.... but I never had to deal with them either... I just give them my money, and they gladly accept..

The dealership who I leased the car through even said they were the worst bank . I googled Ally Bank customer complaints / lease returns and lets just say what I read hit home with me , similar problems from other customers and other things that just left an even more sour taste in my mouth about this bank. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone ...

Could be the disposition fee.. if you don't plan on buying it, there's usually this fee on a turn in, even though all " monthly payments" are satisfied..

I have no clue I have been fighting with these People all day over this they can't give me a straight answer and the customer service women I was dealing with when I paid the lease off all of a sudden her number doesn't work nor can I get anyone in that office . Fkn awesome !!!

Well when I turned in my toyota at the end of the lease ,all was satisfied ,but 3 months later they called me and asked were is there car ,i told them i gave it to the dealer and i faxed them the received the car paper work ,the dealer gave me ,soooooooooo 3 months later they called me again asking for there car ?? (gmac)
took 6 months and 20 faxes to them to get it right

Likely lease term fee or early term fee. ALL banks will hit you for something at the end. I had US Bank try to hit me for 250.00 to remove window tint...fought that one for awhile
