Here is a trick for you that I learned in interrogation classes. Go on to an elevator with a group of people and stand in the middle. When the door closes turn around, face everyone with your arms unfolded and make sure you have a smile. They'll all instinctively go to the corners of the elevator because you violated their personal space.
