Geesh....the waiting for reality is killing me. I can hardly believe they've miraculously found a method to get traction with this car when they couldn't come close with 550HP. This is going to get very interesting!

I'll point out the obvious when I say when the launch isn't the only place you stand to lose traction. So launch control is only a partial solution at best not a panacea.

Beyond that, if traction control kicks in at every WOT shift or you can't even go Full throttle until 3rd gear, all that potential of 650hp/600 ft-lbs remains untapped.

I still think people are going to have to go with their own drag radial solution after they buy the car. Which at the end of the day isn't a big deal and lots of guys will do it.

Launch Control = less power being transferred to the pavement, so I dont see it being any quicker given the same hp levels. Kinda how the Grand Sports launch control gave slower 0-60 times, but I heard they fixed it and now its quicker...idk. Either way I dont see how these new features ad the same tire is going to keep pulling hard during WOT 1-2 and 2-3 shifts. Maybe one of these days they will put an in an electronic differential and back it up with Ferrari like traction and launch control that actually works and delivers sub 3.3 second blasts to 60 in a 500hp RWD car.

I believe that is exactly what all traction control setups do.

Well there's your answer folks. I sales women for Ford has proclaimed that the GT500 will get the power to the ground. She probably doesn't even know what that means.

sometimes function = ugly. The new front end is such to improve cooling. I have a 2011 and I do like the 2013 front end better, and its improved function is a bonus.

Just because they weren't able to get power to the ground very well in the last couple of iterations doesn't automatically mean that they will continue to have the same problems.
