They had horse slaughter houses in the 1970s until 2006 when a ban was placed, they lifted it on Thanksgiving. So now horses will be able to be slaughtered for human consumption. Idk what products use them but I can tell you now I will be reading all the ingrediants on the food I buy. This is just wrong.

And I have 7 horses of my own.

I read the paper and they said that abandoned horses is on the rise, well all abandoned pets are on the rise due to the economy. Then they said that we were having to transport them to mexico which is a long trip and they get sick and such but when we had them here many places were doing the same to send them here. Its just ridiculous.
