Oh hello.. I'm new to cars i mean all about cars. I was just wondering what is this V6 and V8 i just know its an engine but why they are called V6 or V8? what is the difference?

V6 is a 6 cylinder engine v8 is a 8 cylinder engine

The number is the amount of cylinders the engine has. The V part comes from how the cylinders are arranged on the engine. The V6 has 3 cylinders on each side of the engine and form a V shape as opposed to a "straight 6" which has all 6 cylinders lined up in a row. The V8, is basically the same 4 cylinders on each side making a V shape.

And the V means that there are two banks of cylinders, which look sorta like a V when viewed from the end.

The reason they are called a V6 or V8 is because of the geometry of the engine itself. Notice how the pistons in the following image make a "V":
