It will pull a little, won't stick really well though. I got titanium, 6 inches in fact.

titanium and a 300 series stainless steel is non magnetic and will not rust

a 400 series SS will rust over time, its cheaper and is magnetic due to the high iron content...... its not supposed to be used in pro kitchens, surgical stuff etc

If I put my arm facing up and put the magnet on it I can fell a pull around the wrist. Maybe the pins got cheaped out on? I got 9 of them.

also you can tell what kind of metal it is by heating it up or hitting it with a dremel tool.... Carbon steel puts off orange sparks, true stainless will shoot blue and aluminum will do white sparks

could be a 400 stainless pin with a titanium coating or something similar... who knows, I'm a welder, not a doctor
