That's cool. Just wanted to know a time frame. I'm not going to make my decision until February. I need to wait and see how much money I'm getting back in taxes so I'll know for sure if I can do the deal or not. If I get back what I'm expecting to and sell the Whipple then I should be able to swing it.

I think so. What's Nick at right now? 620rwhp?

I don't think Nick's stock 6L80 would last long behind that much more power.

I've already looked into a trans upgrade. I've received quotes from $3,200 (Level10) and a little over $4k (Circle D). Waiting to hear back from RPM Transmissions.

I want to Supercharge my SS, but I want a SC with the real loud whistling sound, probably will go with a Procharger, I want my SC to be heard from blocks away, lol

Not quite bro. Based on the few dynos I've had done I'm between 540-580RWHP.

If I go with the TSP 454 build I'll be putting down 637RWHp with a 15% drivetrain loss figured in. That's not factoring in my long tubes either.

Some 6L80Es have held strong up to 750RWHP, but others have failed at 550. I only drive on the weekends and I don't track mine every weekend so mine isn't under as much stress as some.

I think you'd be okay if you didn't go nuts on it. At least til you save for the upgrade.

Then again it'd probably be cheaper to get it all done at once. You'd save on the labor for sure.

I was just the opposite when I chose the Whipple. I wanted a twin screw blower with big capabilities, and I didn't want something real loud.
