I'm trying to decide whether to adopt a senior golden retriever from a local rescue. He was an old man's companion dog and the old man died; perfectly trained, good, handsome boy. IDK what to do.... :( I REALLY want another golden, but I don't stay at my house every night... so it doesn't make sense to adopt... but I really want this guy. He'd have to ride in the Camaro with me a lot and he couldn't come to work with me...

I remember playing "Americans vs Russians" in early elementary school in the 80's, at the end of the cold war, but it seems like we felt overall safer from then until 9/11. Maybe part of that was me being young and sheltered. Maybe both.

Last Christmas before my dad passed wasnt the best one.. Hence I hate christmas

You'd have to make it a point to come home more often. He's fine while you're working, but he shouldn't be left alone all day and all night. Maybe once in a great while.

Otherwise, Goldens are amazing dogs. I've had 2 and neither of them tore up the house after they got of the puppy stage.

I've always had goldens and I love them deeply See, I live 45 minutes from work, so rather than put the miles on my Camaro I stay at my mom and dad's a lot...

I do have 60 acres for him to play on...

I remember doing the duck and cover drills under my desk, we all thought it was fun. Nowadays everything you see in the news is negative and sensationalized. Plus you have access to more and more information with the internet. Good example of where less is more.

Sounds sweet!! I just spoke with Texas Speed yesterday about one of their custom built 750HP 454s. I can't decided if I'm going that route or if I'm going to keep my Whipple and do a stroker build.
