Yeah, I'm excited to try it. My BIL and SIL are doing it. When we went to visit them in San Antonio a few years back they fried it and that was tasty! I can only imagine how yummy this will be. Yeah, give it a try. I think she said for a 12 lb turkey it has to grill for 2.5 hours. We got a 20 lb so that will take about 4 hours or so. It will be interesting!!

It's DELICIOUS!! I'll have to remember to bring it to work with me or find out where it is online and hook you up with the details.

My mom, Dad and I do nachos for thanksgiving. No turkey. It's tradition. Nachos, Macallan 18-year and movies, just us three.

My mom does KILLER nachos.

When we moved to Arkansas in '95 it was during Thanksgiving week and the house wasn't set up or anything, and we were all too beat to go to my grandma's ( RIP ) and all Mom had in the house was stuff to make nachos. So that's what we did. Since then, it's become tradition.

OREO DELIGHT
Printed from COOKS.COM

Read more about it at http://www.cooks.com/rec/view/0,191,...226199,00.html

1 (16 oz.) pkg. Oreos
1 lg. Cool Whip
1 (8 oz.) soft cream cheese
1 c. powdered sugar
1 stick melted butter
1 lg. box instant Jello chocolate pudding
Milk for pudding

Crush Oreos. Reserve 1/2 cup for topping. Mix remaining with melted butter and press into 9x13 inch pan. Combine cream cheese, powdered sugar, and half of Cool Whip and spread over crust. Chill. Mix Jello pudding. Spread over cream cheese mixture. Top pudding with remaining Cool Whip and garnish with cookie reserve. Chill and serve.

This recipe is pretty close to the one I have if you all want to try it for this weekend.

It's amazing how certain traditions can just POP up like that out of no where. That's neat!! At least you all didn't have to knock out a bunch of old ladies for a turkey.
