I think the Horns have the power running advantage with Micheal (torn ACL) AND Gray (fractured shoulder) out for the Aggies.

True!!

The Aggies have the passing advantage with Tannehill.

Tannehill passing not worried about...Tannehill running must be contained!!

I think a big part of who wins and who loses will be decided on who does or doesn't cover Swopes and Shipley....both of these kids are studs.

UT's DB's have been top notch the last three games!!!

The defenses are close, pass rush to the Aggies, Horns have the better secondary.

Even!!

When it's all said and done...screw the records this year, advantage here, or advantage there doesn't matter anymore....this is Texas vs. Texas A&M.
If the UT QB's can hit the side of a BIG RED BARN........Horns win!!

Did someone actually just give the Horns' secondary a compliment?

I think our defense will be able to shut down the Aggies if the front line doesn't over-pursue. I haven't watched many aggie games, so I'm not really all that sure what their weapons on offense are without their two running backs.

I'm just hoping that it's a good game. Beyond that, who knows

You know most may say yes to this as both schools have two Big time Runningbacks who are not up to speed or even playing. We stuck both of our injuried backs in last week and pulled one very quickly. Who really knows lol

The Aggies have the passing advantage with Tannehill.

I agree Tannehill is the next thing to an Aggie leader as Dat was for the wrecking Crew. class act he is for sure.

I think a big part of who wins and who loses will be decided on who does or doesn't cover Swopes and Shipley....both of these kids are studs.
Shipley hasnt played in 3 Games. He did practice but a source who I know that currently goes to practices said he is in no way near 100% as he shows pain when he runs or after a run. I have a question mark here also.

The defenses are close, pass rush to the Aggies, Horns have the better secondary.
You know after the last two weeks I have to say both secondaries are EH and both pass rushes are something to brag at the thanksgiving table. Okfar and jeffcoat have come around a lot the last part of the season. We had 5 sacks last week.

When it's all said and done...screw the records this year, advantage here, or advantage there doesn't matter anymore....this is Texas vs. Texas A&M.

I totally agree. This is also in College Station where the Ag's show up to Play Texas like its there SuperBowl.

GIG'EM AGGIES!

after answering those statements up above I have to say I am saddened that this Rivalry is coming to an End in a way. It sucks that every school in college sports is showing how much important $$$ is over a rivalry :(

oh well. ( it hasnt been the same honestly since RC left )

I wish both of these teams had health on each side. Neither one is playing up to there capabilities. I just hope its not ugly like last year. IMO that was an embarassment showing of both schools.

right now both schools have a better chance of letting the thanksgiving Turkey to play.

I really dont know im ready for this season to be over and see whats going to happen with this QB situation. Looks we are playing 2 again this week I never thought I would say this but I miss chris sims during the aggie week

Either way lets have a great Game and Happy Thanksgiving to each and everyone of you.

Now where is my Red Candle im using tradition and superstition we need a Hex on the Ag's then afterwards we can go paint the Barn Burnt orange

WOW!!! Great game!!!

Horns defense did a great job disguising coverages and throwing Tannehill off balance. Probably his worst game this year.

Stupid penalties and some bad calls on both sides but overall a great rivalry game. Quiet night for both Shipley and Swopes. Dramatic 4th quarter and finish for sure. Hopefully we can get this series back in a few years.

Good Luck in the Big 12 next year!

GIG'EM!

Seriously, if it's so tough then why is it the only conference that ALWAYS has undefeated teams?
I'm assuming because losing to Texas Tech at home and Baylor on the road has your panties in a wade...would not say much if I were an OU fan right now. SEC is consistantly playing ranked teams as opposed to the Big nothing...I'm sorry but you need to back your smack...whats the new sayin'...I let my haterz be my motivatorz!

OSU and OU lost because of no defense, both of their offenses are great and can score big points in the Big 12, but the Big 12 defenses are not that good. SEC teams don't have high powered offenses but play great defense.

Thus the debate of what wins championships? In past history the teams with a better defense won more Championship games than the high powered offenses. WHY?

It could be the lay off affected the timing, could be the QB just had a bad game no one really knows. The only team from the SEC that played a Big 12 school won ( Arkansas ) BUT Tex A&M gave up a BIG lead because Arkansas has a pretty good offense but struggles against good defenses.

I was not for an Alabama- LSU re-match UNTIL all these teams started losing and have basically given it to Bama. I look at OSU now with one loss and to me it is worse than Alabama's loss because an unranked team beat them.......but I guess why all this talk is subjective. Each team can make a case for their team at this point.

Aint it funny though about 4 weeks ago the BCS was so afraid of having so many undefeated teams....now look what we have.......One thing is definitely for sure though. ANY TEAM can be beat on any given Saturday, or Friday, or Thursday.
And some teams TWICE...

Question Question...

SEC is just on top RIGHT now....A few years ago USC was the king of college football. Although Saban has done an extremely great job since he has been there, started getting great recruiting classes and made the program relevant again, hell he helped revive LSU's program when he was there.

This year is HIGHLY odd since LSU is 1, Bama 2 and Arky 3....probabaly won't ever see that again.

But if we had a play off with the top say 8 teams could you imagine what that would look like. Especially right now.

1. LSU vs 8. Houston
2. Alabama vs 7. Boise State
3. Arkansas vs 6. Stanford
4. Ok State vs 5. VT
You still have to remember though Ohio State, USC, Texas, etc. have had good runs and NC titles...look at the conferences they are in...not all teams are bad however there have been and are more ranked teams in the SEC. This year the Big 12 did have more than usual with OU, OSU, Kansas State, etc. But my question is how do you look at Houston and in the FCS Sam Houston...I mean to say they are at the top because they have gone undefeated is a lot different than say TCU and the conference that they are in from the previous years, correct? You have to look at the overall not just the short coming which I think most here are a little narrow minded persay on there home/state teams. I do not like many ACC teams though Clemson is gonna be a team to watch for a few years with all the red shirts on the team this year and just because I say that doesn't mean I'm a Clemson fanboy...I don't like orange in any use *coughTennessecough* but hey its football. Its a heck of a lot better than watching the NFL now if the BCS can just get a playoff series that would end all this debate.
