Well well what a BCS mess we have now after the weekend that was in college football. The biggest difference I see in the SEC and the Big 12 or for that fact the rest of college football is that the SEC builds teams with Defense first.
OSU and OU lost because of no defense, both of their offenses are great and can score big points in the Big 12, but the Big 12 defenses are not that good. SEC teams don't have high powered offenses but play great defense. Thus the debate of what wins championships? In past history the teams with a better defense won more Championship games than the high powered offenses. WHY? It could be the lay off affected the timing, could be the QB just had a bad game no one really knows. The only team from the SEC that played a Big 12 school won ( Arkansas ) BUT Tex A&M gave up a BIG lead because Arkansas has a pretty good offense but struggles against good defenses. I was not for an Alabama- LSU re-match UNTIL all these teams started losing and have basically given it to Bama. I look at OSU now with one loss and to me it is worse than Alabama's loss because an unranked team beat them.......but I guess why all this talk is subjective. Each team can make a case for their team at this point. Aint it funny though about 4 weeks ago the BCS was so afraid of having so many undefeated teams....now look what we have.......One thing is definitely for sure though. ANY TEAM can be beat on any given Saturday, or Friday, or Thursday.

When the Razorbacks "upset" LSU on Saturday, the BCS is really going to have a mess on its hands. Let's face it, the Razorbacks have a lot more to play for this week than LSU does.
RIP Uekman

![]() Very well put. Until OU or anyone else in the Big12 start to concentrate on Defense they will play second fiddle to the top SEC teams. OUs defense when Mike Stoops was there was awesome. |

Razorbacks ? IM NO SOLD
LSU has a date at home for a National championship Game and the Tv critics want to see it. I will happily come back and eat my words if they Win but I see Arky squeeling WEEEE WEE WEEE all he way home. Bama and LSU are running the SEC. Quote:
You are correct. You know I wonder if Mike could return and do it again ? Imo football has changed a little as in types of offenses and Defenses since the early 2000's |

As they say.....Don't go where you been before.....His brother left for a H/C job...something just seems wrong for him to come back.....but it may work.
SEC is just on top RIGHT now....A few years ago USC was the king of college football. Although Saban has done an extremely great job since he has been there, started getting great recruiting classes and made the program relevant again, hell he helped revive LSU's program when he was there. This year is HIGHLY odd since LSU is 1, Bama 2 and Arky 3....probabaly won't ever see that again. But if we had a play off with the top say 8 teams could you imagine what that would look like. Especially right now. 1. LSU vs 8. Houston 2. Alabama vs 7. Boise State 3. Arkansas vs 6. Stanford 4. Ok State vs 5. VT

Probably not. The Big10 was close in '06 with OSU, Michigan, and Wisconsin sitting at 1, 2, and 7 going into the final week.

They grilled him pretty hard on how the secondary cannot cover, and his bad decision on the time out, it was pretty classic Bob on the defensive.

"There isn't a Big 12 Defense that can stop a nose bleed." I don't remember who it was that said it, but damn it was funny. Ok, Jekyll, Ponyman....let's get after it....Aggies/Horns...Rivalry week....last one for a while at least. The 'Horns have a bunch of injuries, the Aggies do too... I think the Horns have the power running advantage with Micheal (torn ACL) AND Gray (fractured shoulder) out for the Aggies. The Aggies have the passing advantage with Tannehill. I think a big part of who wins and who loses will be decided on who does or doesn't cover Swopes and Shipley....both of these kids are studs. The defenses are close, pass rush to the Aggies, Horns have the better secondary. When it's all said and done...screw the records this year, advantage here, or advantage there doesn't matter anymore....this is Texas vs. Texas A&M. GIG'EM AGGIES!
