Idk how that would look on these cars. The euro cars look sexy as hell with it. I've seen it on mustangs and a couple of other domestics but

LEDs could potentially look really great on the Camaro, especially in place of the halogens. This could make the RS package more of a classic enthusiast package and make non-RS models a little more desirable.

My SLK55 Benz had LED tail lights but, had a regular bulb too when I asked I was told that it was a safety backup in case of LED failure. If you have ever driven in Europe, which I have, you would know that a tail light failure could be catastrophic...

Leds have one problem that HID's don't!
In the midwest traffic lights where changed to led but during a sleet or snow storm the led's didn't get hot enough to melt off the snow and ice. Just imagine your headlights in a snow storm! Stop every couple of miles to scrape the ice off your headlights. Still want Lexus junk? |

Main reason is cost vs perceived value. They cost a lot more to make, but people aren't willing to pay much more for them vs regular bulbs.

Use T3 ports and put LED strip in them. Boom! You got yourself a sweet euro look.

The Halos are LED and tastefully done IMHO.
I don't think time will be kind to the strings of individual LEDs In 10 years they will look tacky and gimmicky

Cadillac uses them to much nicer effect getting the advantages of the technology without the gaudy look of them by using Light Pipes. The Camaro uses them for Halos with light pipes. The "Ice Blue" chevy interior lighting is also LED technology, in the dash, radio, and accent lighting (like the ABL). Sadly, they screwed up on the dash ABL in the camaro. |

+1. I see why LEDs are theoretically better, but they're a bit like matte paint and Newt Gingrich--just the flavor of the week.

I think all the LED strips that I see on Audi's and Mercedes, and god knows whatever else, look retarded and trendy. It is a trend that will fall out of favor soon, IMHO.
