I heard those pay well. My husband even thought of it. I think several people from where he works now will be leaving or just left. It's like 3 months on and 1 month off or something like that. Right?

that i'm not sure of. my parents are there right now. I'll have to ask them. and yes, pay is very good there, plus no taxes. should be making 6 figures in a year.

Exactly!! I remember him saying something like that. I was like !!! He just got out of the Army and those 2 years he was gone were a bit rough, and having him home is quite nice. We figured that would be a last resort of the economy got worse. The company I work for has been doing layoffs every few months and I've been lucky they haven't touched our sector yet. You never know!! It's a nice option and I think you stay there on post so that's a plus too!!

yeah, my parents said they would work there a year and retire, and maybe work 2 years there so they can retire more comfortably. after a few days, they told me they don't know if they will make it out there a whole year. lmaao

Weather reasons or the situation?

Wouldn't be a bad idea though to stock up for your retirement. Especially those of us that will never see Social Security.

Actually I worked 6 days in a row before having a day off and it was still 40 hours a week. The pay-period was Sun-Sat.

In the business season I was working Mon-Sat 8:30-7:30, Damn I miss those paychecks.
