Like I said before concealed= out of plain view. You can't see my gun when I'm sitting.

Third, I said I only have it their while I'm driving otherwise it's locked in the glove box or in the trunk etc.

Fourth, the gun is completely safe put away like this because it's not chambered

Fifth, I have no kids.
Fair enough. Sounds like you've put some thought into it. You should consider the practicality of carrying an empty chamber, even if just in your car. The time it takes you to chamber a round could be the difference between surviving a violent encounter and not. Remember that if the time comes, your body will be dumping adrenaline at an unprecedented rate. You'll likely have tunnel vision and any action you haven't completely built into muscle memory will be lost.

I do hope you'll eat a Saturday some day soon and get your permit. Get a nice Crossbreed SuperTuck holster if you want to carry in-waistband or a Serpa for outside-waistband and add to the population of law abiding, lawfully armed citizens. The more the better and ALL the stats back that up, and it makes your weapon instantly functional and reachable when it's not seconds that count, but fractions of a second....God forbid.

ETA: And just for discussion's sake, not every state has a duty-to-notify clause. In VA, we are not obligated to disclose the possession of a weapon carried by permit, and in most cases the police know when they approach the vehicle because our licenses are flagged so when they run your plate, they'll back trace it to the registered owner.

Might want to ask a local LEO if that's a legal "concealed" location. I can see the one in my car from both sides outside the car, it isn't hidden.

I'll eventually get my permit, just never had a reason to carry on my body. Most crimes here happen at red lights, in car, and etc. For some reason I'm edgy when my gun is chambered, I bet it can make a world of difference when an attack happens and victim gun is chambered or not. I'm really digging how the guy posted a picture of the holster under the steering column, might steal that for myself.

Where else in the world can you have a discussion about "Camaros and gun storage locations"

BMTGIE, IMHO, although you feel you have found a great location to store your Glock... I believe you should consider safety first. As already mentioned earlier, the seat handle is not a safe place for a loaded gun... if you can't carry concealed, you should really consider holstering your gun and finding a place for the holster that is with in easy reach.

Good luck

lmfao I was thinking this exactly. Coming from a Canadian, I was like guns and camaros? Awesome!!! haha
Only in America! And im not saying this as a bad thing

Hey all,

Glad you liked my placement and have been asked by others what kind of holster I use. Its a WRB holster that I got at a gun show, called "In The Pants Holster".
Here is the link to their site if your interested.
http://www.wrbsales.com/products/95-in-the-pants-holster.aspx

For the others...I have been pulled over three times since I've had my car and every time I show my CHL with drivers license. Only one has asked if it was on my person and I told him no it was under my dash. They know when they run my license that I have a CHL and all have been very cool about it. (only one speeding ticket...knock on wood)

I had a Saab before that had a nice pocket in front of the seat that held my gun nicely.
