The wood lanes break down faster, so the line is harder to maintain.

the way the oil soaks into the wood, and then the break down. It's almost like an extra layer of oil on the lane. I throw right at 19 MPH so my ball just slides through the pocket rather than getting some dig. Even when i try and swing it there is no back end

Ah. Ok. I remember when I first started bowling they were wood lanes and then they switched. I remember I hated the sound of the ball when you set it down to roll.

Kinda like the *tink* of a metal bat over the *crack* of wood.

(Those metal bats are so stupid )

My dad talks about all the dots all the time. I still run into a few old timers with them from time to time

I have a white dot for right side spares. Hard as shit. I'll use it if the lanes get really dry. But even on dry lanes leave a lot of 10 pins because it tends to hit flat.

i just use whatever ball i'm throwing at the time. I used to switch balls (and i know a lot of people that do), i just found that as long as i keep my hand behind it and bring my speed up then i can take them out pretty handily. Picked up my first ever 7-10 two weeks ago thanks to it! Off the back wall, off the ball, into the 7. i was like

i think my dad still has a white dot somewhere....

I started at 21 yo in 1991 and bowled for 3 years. Quit bowling for about 9 years and picked it back up. Only one honor score since I started back 5 years or so ago. 299.

3, 300 games back in the early 90s.

Only bowl 1 night a week. Never practice.

Averaging 206

I've had the first nine twice already on this league. 276 and 265 (265 coming lastnight)

Kind atells you how consistant my games go.

I can shoot 150 and follow it up with a 270 and finish up with a 200......
