Cracked phone screen..... Galaxy SII Skyrocket.....:(

:(

The Skyrocket has been out for exactly one week. I got it last Monday the first day of sales. It's basically the Galaxy SII but with a bigger processor and bigger screen.

Anyway, I dropped it putting air in my tire........ (****ing Savini )

Does anyone know if it can be fixed? I really dont want to buy one at full price. (600.00) so any advice is welcomed.

Look for a local place that does cell phone repair. You should be able to get a new screen installed.

I'm going to go to a few places today. Problem is that they are all crappy little shops that I'm afraid to walk in.

Not really, but not exactly clean legit looking storefronts.

Hmmm I have an idea; maybe try using the stuff they use to repair windshield cracks? I found an iTouch in my basement that has a cracked screen a few days ago (don't ask how it got there I have no idea). I can go to auto zone and pick up some of the glass stuff and try it out on that. But it won't be til later tonight, that alright?

EDIT: I also blame Savini

If you have a mall nearby look at some of the vendors run by large providers like Sprint and Verizon. Here in Amarillo's Westgate mall Sprint had a booth selling and setting up phones, then they had a sign that had a phone with a COMPLETELY broken screen (a real phone, mind you) claiming that they could fix it. Worth a shot if you ask me.

He told me that was the best damn answer he ever heard.

haha I know. I've followed you wheel thread. Between you and Jekel they will never sell another set here on C5.

Hey do they offer an otter box for your phone? I somehow managed to break an iPhone 4, while in thier case they replaced the phone no questions asked. I know the cases are bulky, but if your phone gets damged in there case they replace it

Chalk one up for the iPhone. For now. Had I stuck with the Galaxy SII they could fix it now.
