It blows my mind how some of the members on here can afford these nice cars and can't manage to write a sentence without at least one word spelled wrong, to the point where others have to ask what they meant
Maybe hooked on phonics for xmas would help

Lol, your statemant has a whole mess of grammar and spelling errors. 1. In the first line "I" should be "It", I am assuming. 2. There are several punctuation marks missing or used incorrectly. 3. The use of "hooked on phonics" should have been capitalized. 4. Christmas is not abbreviated xmas, in fact it should not be abbreviated at all. 5. Stylistically, there were many words used that were not necessary. For example, there is no need to use the word "on" when saying "the members on here". 6. The sentence "Just drives me nuts sometimes" has no subject noun. Without looking back, there are probably errors in my response. I will forgive you, if you will overlook my errors as well. It was a good rant, I'll give you that.

Just goes to show that maybe everything in high school isn't as important later in life as its made out to be. I would venture a guess that a lot of us don't even us algebra anymore.

Funny is people only care when you type, no one ever grammar or spell checks me when I speak.
And on the internet, people type how they would say it talk, proper formal english will never be part of the web experience where you have people interacting as such. Im a flipping genius on paper but find proper english retarded and out of date; people don't talk that way anymore for a reason. But don't take my word for it. a.. "A Plan for the Improvement of English Spelling: For example, in Year 1 that useless letter 'c' would be dropped to be replased either by 'k' or 's', and likewise 'x' would no longer be part of the alphabet. The only kase in which 'c' would be retained would be the 'ch' formation, which will be dealt with later. Year 2 might reform 'w' spelling, so that 'which' and 'one' would take the same konsonant, wile Year 3 might well abolish 'y' replasing it with 'i' and Iear 4 might fiks the 'g/j' anomali wonse and for all. Jenerally, then, the improvement would kontinue iear bai iear with Iear 5 doing awai with useless double konsonants, and Iears 6-12 or so modifaiing vowlz and the rimeining voist and unvoist konsonants. Bai Iear 15 or sou, it wud fainali bi posibl tu meik ius ov thi ridandant letez 'c', 'y' and 'x' -- bai now jast a memori in the maindz ov ould doderez -- tu riplais 'ch', 'sh', and 'th' rispektivli. Fainali, xen, aafte sam 20 iers ov orxogrefkl riform, wi wud hev a lojikl, kohirnt speling in ius xrewawt xe Ingliy-spiking werld." -- I don't see the point of spelling a word correctly, and I never did." --Mark Twain |

I am afraid to type a response and have it full of mistakes. I will post a video instead as commentary on the stupidity of this entire thread.

I was to lazy and to honest for just algebra 1/2 the first time around.
I could do it but didn’t like to but was too honest to cheat like the rest of the class. The teacher left copies of the answers up front you could grab at any time. And he slept all the time. Funny part was when I did try he would get confused as in algebra you have to show your work on how you found the answer. And id sometimes take the long way around as I forgot the right 3 step to an answer path, and took the 12 step path but still got there ![]() Thank god all big test are multi choice, Im a good guesser. |

My 7th grade math teacher gave me a mercy D- in pre-algebra knowing I wouldn't have to take any more "required" math classes. He told me he could see it was too hard for me and he was giving me a break. At this point of my life I feel he didn't do me a favor although back then I thought "Yahtzee!"
When I went to a local community college I pulled 3.6-4.0 in everything except math, and I had to take a dnf after 2 quarters of trying my damdest to get it. I'm like number dyslexic or something. I got to polynomials and my brain just shut down. |

Most of the time I don't care, but there was one time whilst waiting in line for Lazerfest (big rock concert), this lady could barely even speak intelligibly, as if she hadn't learned a lot of the more common words used in the English language. And to be clear, this lady was as 'merican as they get. At which point I just shake my head in astonishment and move on, make fun of them to friends later, etc. Most grammar and spelling mistakes on the internet don't bug me too much. The one that DOES get me though is when people use "know" instead of "no"... I mean, really? It takes MORE effort to type the incorrect word... I just don't get that one lol.
