I can't believe they got those times/mph's at Infineon (headwind + uphill)! That track is ALWAYS .4 seconds slower/4 mph slower than Sacramento Raceway. I've gone a few times, I have seen LS1's having trouble trapping over 100 mph (stock), LT1's in the mid 90's, and SRT8's in the LOW 100's. Maybe they caught it on a better day than when I've usually gone, but Infineon is def. slower than your average track.

Wondering the same thing.. Ground effects, Upgraded wheels etc.. are not things that bring the camaro's features up to par with the GT500. So if that $41k "loaded" camaro includes cosmetic add ons, that is really stupid.


Fully loaded 2SS comes out to be $36,780 for me? That includes the RS Package, IOM Interior, and Sunroof. I don't see any other options that need to be added that bring it up to GT500 "option" territory..

Hell sunroof isn't even needed, so then it is $35,880.. Not sure where he is getting $41k for a loaded SS unless he is adding GFX, Wheels etc.. which those are NOT options that should be added in comparison, as that doesn't do anything other than make the car "appear" different.

Here is what it includes I added the RS because of the HIDs, and the IO interior because the GT500 has an upgraded interior compared to reg GT ( Alcantara seats, steering wheel and uniques dash etc etc) *NOTE* GT500 gets Navigation Camaro 2SS does NOT* Added stripes as well as the GT500 gets stripes and reg GT doesnt come with them standard. So after TTL your looking at about 41000 give or take a few 100 depending on the state

I don't know LOL it started with someone making the observation that the GT500 is fast which it most certainly is and then it became a pissing match on how a modded SS will be faster blah blah blah and I found myself getting caught up in it too. Instead of just saying FORD did an amazing job, they are really starting to turn it around good for them. or that car is awesome it's a beast etc etc once again a compliment can't be said anymore to another car without some kind of justification about Camaro.

Hey xmicro Im not being politically correct but what is the other car section for if people cant post about other cars. This is the 4th thread in as many weeks that someone has posted in the others section and they have gotten crap from the members here. It used to not be like this it's getting lame. If people post about another car in the OTHER CAR section then if you want to comment about it go ahead don't chime in just to be an ass. Oh and besides common courtesy isn't political correctness , so maybe learn what the term means before you use it ok

Dude, take a chill pill, nobody posted anything off topic. How is anyone being an ass, unless you consider being an ass not posting what you would post. We are talking about a high end Mustang offering, so I posted about how we may get our car that fast. How is that not courteous?? It is within forum rules. Just because not everyone says things you like or answers the way you would, does not make them wrong. We all speak our own minds and add what we feel is relivent to the topic. Who made anyone else judges.

yeah this is a camaro site, so obviously most will prefer it to a mustang but I cannot believe how many people are trying to discredit and bash this car. Even if you are a GM boy it deserves some respect since it will smoke all other muscle cars and its modability is crazy and can be done pretty cheap on top of it.
