No doubt. The details of your next generation engine are definitely one of those things you want to keep quiet as long as possible. It is the sort of thing that causes people to have "accidents" over if they say too much.

I would like to see Chevy/GMC take one chapter from the hyundai/Kia relationship. THat is that why they share engines/flatforms, etc, each maker is independant in it's designs, tuning, etc AND they see each other as a marketplace competitor. IMHO, this would be win/win.

The Equinox/Terrain are a good example of this.

That's good news. Badge engineering to the extreme got GM in trouble in the first place.

They are now...different hoods/grilles/front fenders/box sides...

Chev has (head-on) the w-i-d-e "sleek" (some say "feminine") look; GMC has a more bold "squared" look, derived from the Terradyne concept.

http://www.gminsidenews.com/forums/f...esigned-84193/

Not much sense these days making TWO that look the same. The Chev is "unique", while the GMC language competes more directly with the FORD/Magnum "in your face", BIG-truck derived look.

I expect them to continue similarly...cab/structure the same, but with different "looks".

The spyshot is heavily disguised. If you look closely, the actual mule is, in fact, WHITE-painted. Anything NOT white is part of the near-total cover-up...including the door frames/window cutouts and roof profile.

The current trucks are still more or less rebadges of each other. The K2XXs will follow the Equinox/Terrain divergence in design.

BOTH vehicles, E/T and S/S, do/will share basic "cab" structures, but with a differentiating "look", agreed. Even moreso than current...

No chrome is bad. Some chrome is good. Therefore, more chrome is better.

Any questions?

I'm specifically looking for a Silverado with Z71 apperance package because I do not like the chrome grille or bumpers. That's just me I guess....

I wonder if line-x will come up with a chrome color for their bedliners to match the new paint!

You laugh ... but consider this:

When GM was in its golden age, they used lots of chrome. So it stands to reason that if they ever want another golden age, all they have to do is use more chrome. That makes sense, right?
