Yup. The thing that seems to be lost on some people is we're not talking about a DUI cover-up, or some tattoos for team equipment or sweetheart deals on cars for players....... We're talking about the RAPE of children.

Shit that needs to be met with the death penalty. Horifying deeds at the hands of a monster.

Not sure I want that. While the LSU game was a good game, I'd rather see something better.

2 CRAPPY offenses against two GREAT defenses = 9 points here,,, 6 points there..... = boring. lol

I want to see a GREAT offense against a GREAT defense.

As a Penn State Alum, I am so sickened by this. Sandusky needs to be strung up by his sack and stoned to death.

I am saddened that after 46 years of integrity, the actions of a sick piece of $hi* have ruined everything that Joe has stood for, and that this is more than likely the end of Joe's career. He did nothing, did not witness the acts against children, was cleared of any wrongdoing by the grand jury in the indictment, yet Joe is being held to the fire - for this I will never understand. The public should be going after Sandusky and the men who did nothing after they were told what was going on by Joe and Mike McQuery. I have read all 23 pages of the indictment, and Joe is mentioned 1 time and in NO TIME was he a direct witness to any wrongdoing. Yet, the public wants Joe's head.

What the hell is the American public's facination with destroying heros?

I've only heard good about JoePa. I was unaware that anyone was linking him any more than the limited mentions in the indictment.

I will, however, say that anyone who heard anything about it wether witness to it or not should be equaly ashamed. If you hear anything even close to credible it's your responsibility as a human being to look into it.

That being said, I dont think JoePa even hear that. Unfortunate for him.

Crazy crazy stuff.

It's not about destroying heroes, it's about disbelief. It's really hard for me to believe that the head football coach of such a high-profile establishment never had a feeling something strange was going on with one of his coaches.

If JoePa didn't know, then hey, he didn't know. But while that may save him from lawsuits in this particular instance, what else doesn't he know about?

How many parents will be willing to send their kids to be coached by a guy who doesn't know what's going on around him? That's the perception that is going to be drive the call for JoePa to resign.

The whole situation is pretty messed up.

I am trying to figure out who these parents are that are "suddenly" so upset about what happened to their boys. WHO LETS THEIR KIDS hang out and sleep over at a strange man's house? Charity be damned...who does this? For those pointing fingers about Penn State allowing their kids to be harmed by this man, remember that three more are pointing right back at you.

Rumors are flying around that JoePa may announce his retirement after all this has been brought up. He does need to retire I think he is like 84 years old.

Crap like this happens every stinkin' day in every city in the world. We had a very highly placed pastor that was a pillar of the community, took boys in all the time if they didn't have a home or just had problems. People loved him. He is now in prison for a long, long time for doing more to these kids than providing a home.
From what I have read and heard, Joe Pa was told about the events and he passed it up the line to his superiors as he should. He then apparently dropped the ball and did no follow-up. I'm not sure either why peeps are calling for him to resign, it should be the higher ups. I suppose there is more to the story that I don't care to hear!

According to a grand jury report, Paterno back in 2002 was informed by a grad assistant that he had seen former Penn State football coach Jerry Sandusky naked and forcing a boy who appeared to be about 10-years-old to have anal sex in the showers of the school's sports complex. Paterno reportedly told his boss, Athletic Director Tim Curley, but it's unclear whether the coach did anything further to follow up on the shocking report.
Reported to superiors?????? ............. AND???????

Wow.

Another reason I'm grooming my kids to never have kids.

I agree 1000% that if anyone should be getting the biggest boot in the ass it is the grad assistant Mike McQuery. He SEES a man molesting a child in the showers and does not kick his ass or call the police immediately? WTF! Sandusky should have been beaten within an inch of his life and left in a pool of blood, the child secured and THEN the police called. To call his daddy THEN call Joe instead of the police is absolutely IDIOTIC. Mike drug Joe into this by not handling this correctly...and now Joe may have a career of 46 years destroyed over it.

I want to hear from Joe and Sandusky's wife about how much they knew. A lot of the indictment claims a lot of inappropriate things happened at Sandusky's house.

I am absolutely sick over this to happen at Penn State, and torn up for the victims as well.
