What new daily driver should I Buy???

Alright well I went out looking for a used car to be my new daily driver this winter so that I can keep my Camaro garaged up and dont have to use it daily anymore. Heres a list of what I found that I can afford which would be my best bet to buy you guys think???

1. 2003 Jaguar X-Type 2.5- They want a little below $7,000 for it and it only has 75,000 miles on it and it has a sunroof, leather, wood trim and everything. V6 engine that makes 194hp. -I'm thinking HEAVILY on getting this . Color of exterior- Gray

2. 2002 Mercury Cougar- Not sure about this one since its a Ford especially but the body was perfect without a scratch. Only had about 80,000 miles, base 4-cylinder, Grabber Green Metallic color. want $4,999 for it.

3. 2005 Nissan Maxima not sure what the price is on it yet, had around 102,000 miles, gray color.

4. 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer- 87,000 miles, new tires, tan color, they wanted right at $8,000 for it a little below.

5. Chevrolet Impala or Malibu if I can find a good one again.

6. Saturn Vue

Thats my options right now just curious to see what you guys think and recommend?

I'd go with the trailblazer if it was my choice. If you are buying something specifically for winter, why not go 4WD?

I'd avoid the Jag. Anything that goes wrong (and it will since its a Jag) will be very expensive.

The 2002 Cougar is a reliability death trap. It was engineered during Ford's don't give a damn about cars because we only sell trucks period during the 90s. My family had a Ford Contour (mechanical twin), and something went wrong with it almost every month. It left us stranded on the road side during a vacation at 25,000 miles. We finally scraped it at 75,000 miles (scraped, not traded in) after the second transmission went out on it.

I'd go with option 5 or 6 if you can get a good deal (though avoid the 2004-2007 Malibus). The Trailblazer would be nice, but it will go through a lot of fuel.

You realize the X-Type and the Cougar share the same basic platform (along with the Ford Contour and mercury mystique), the 2.5 is a ungraded version of the 2.5 170 HP found in those cars and is closest to the version found in the 200HP contour SVT.

Yeah I saw that jaguar was owned by Ford during that time. It still seems interesting though.

Impala or TrailBlazer would be your best bets. Probably TrailBlazer for a winter car, be prepared for gas to murder your wallet though.

The impala or malibu will give you great gas mailage, but id personally want the trailblazer or regular cab pick-up. Not sure what your proce range is but a friend of mine just bought a used, under warranty, ford pick-up for 9K. Very nice, clean, and reliable.

Stay away from the 04-08 maximas!

If you want to go maxima get a 2002 6 speed, youll love it.
