Gotcha covered in the bold areas. Honestly I don't do that much swimming out here in the desert. I'll say this though, distance swimming A LOT harder than running is.

I do too in the cold, it goes away after about a half mile when though. As for the compound fracture, I couldn't stand sitting around the house doing nothing. The arm was fused so in theory not much could happen anyways with that plate. People kept giving me odd looks with the one armed weight lifting though.
